Story

Madison grew up in a Christian home in North Carolina. She faced the pressures of performing well in school, building good friendships and being involved in sports from a young age. This caused her to develop anxiety that showed up in various aspects of her life. Madison struggled to prioritize her faith throughout high school, but was eventually captivated by the love of God during her junior year, which transformed her.

Madison has always had a passion for children and helping the hurting.  She worked at summer camps and traveled on mission trips for many years. Unsure exactly where the Lord would take her after she graduated from UNC Chapel Hill, Madison embarked on a six-month mission program with YWAM before making any decisions.  While she was there she was encouraged in her ability to listen, empathize and care for others, ultimately leading her to apply for her graduate degree in Social Work.

Madison received her Master’s degree in Social Work from the UNC Charlotte. Alongside her degree, Madison got her certificate in Play Therapy and took courses to advance her knowledge of children and families. She received training in a private practice as well as an integrated health center. Madison has a passion for working with others who experience anxiety, teenagers who need a safe space to process and families who feel overwhelmed by the challenges of life. Madison is no stranger to heartbreak or emotional struggles; from her own experience, she has found counseling to be an invaluable aid to helping navigate difficult seasons.

Madison is happily married to a passionate Georgia Bulldog fan and has a Goldendoodle puppy. She enjoys nutrition and fitness, going to coffee shops, traveling and being with friends and family.
