When you first meet Bev you will experience a warm welcome which takes you to a place where you can unwind and take a deep breath. She has a special love for children and an ability to connect with them and their families. Bev also enjoys working with couples, a talent for which one of her couples named her "Dr. Love." Her passion for people has been developed over a lifetime of service to church and community organizations.

Before counseling, Bev and her late husband Larry spent over a decade in full-time ministry, pouring into children and their families at children's homes as house-parents, then as organizational directors. Bev served on the Board of Directors at Eagle Ranch, a well-respected children's ranch in North Atlanta, where she began her professional counseling career with a year long internship. She has also worked in a variety of capacities in organizations such as Atlanta Care Center, A Beacon of Hope, Good Samaritan Health Center, Transitional Family Services, and AlphaCare Resources. Bev eventually established her own practice, Stillwaters Counseling Services [], before joining Tapestry in January 2011.

At Tapestry, Bev continues her focus on children and their parents. Her desire is to facilitate connection and healing between parents, children, and couples.

"Your family is one of the most important investments you can make this side of Heaven," says Bev. Her goal is to assist her patients in regaining hope, learning new skills, and developing new strategies for coping with trials that may rob them of joy.

Bev has three happily married children and delights in her nine grandchildren. She loves to run, completing two half-marathons every year, as well as hosting her church community group, participating in Bible studies, spending time with friends, and getting her hands dirty in her garden.
